Announcing the New Look TrainSplit
For quite a while now we’ve been beavering away to create a new look TrainSplit. And now it’s ready for you to have a go with. You can find it at https://new.trainsplit.com
Here’s what we’ve done:
- New, modern look that’s easy to navigate and doesn’t move around when you change things
- It’s now even more mobile-friendly
- You can choose whether you want a fast, cheap or value journey and we’ll recommend an itinerary to you if you just want to book the best option without looking at the myriad of other journeys
- If you do want to choose from a list of journeys, we’ve changed the way we display them so that we can show more of them on the screen and you can see at a glance how long they take and where you’ll need to change
- Now you can choose whether to split tickets or not – even without splitting tickets we can often beat the price on other websites
- We still have our industry-leading seat selector and refund policies in place
- And you can still use our unique set of advanced options if you want to really customise your journey
Why not give it a try? You’ll also find a feedback link there if there’s anything you think we should add or change – we’re keen to hear from you.
I often want to buy tickets for travelling with a bicycle. I love the site, but one of the issues is that some trains require a bicycle reservation and it doesn’t seem to be possible to do this via the site. And I cant book the train tickets until I know I can get a space for my bike. And I tried last year to reserve a bike space in parallel on LNER, but I could not find availability until I had bought a ticket. is there any way to resolve this? Or even to restrict the search to trains that do not require a bike reservation?
Yes, I’m sorry about that and I agree that bike reservations are an issue. We’re working with the industry to try to make this possible at the moment.
